Self-Defense &#8211; Strike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Class A:<\/strong> Block the <strong>Hook Punch<\/strong>, execute a <strong>Hip Throw<\/strong>, and finish with a <strong>Straight Armbar<\/strong> using the <strong>Knee on Belly<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Class B:<\/strong> Slip the <strong>Hook Punch<\/strong>, transition to a <strong>Bodylock Takedown<\/strong>, and move directly into the <strong>Mount<\/strong> position.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 <em>Tip:<\/em> Self-defense begins with timing and movement. Work on your hip throw mechanics and ensure you transition fluidly to maintain control. Sport Jiu-Jitsu &#8211; Guard Top<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This week, the focus shifts to passing the guard efficiently from the top position \u2013 a critical skill for every Jiu-Jitsu practitioner:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Class A:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Open the Guard on the Knees:<\/strong> Use two hands on the belt for control and stability.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Knee Slide Guard Pass:<\/strong> Combine control of the sleeve with a precise knee slide to pass the guard smoothly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Class B:<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Opening the Guard Standing:<\/strong> Control the opponent\u2019s collar and hip to open the guard while standing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Guard Pass Standing:<\/strong> Execute a guard pass by standing up and driving both arms under the opponent\u2019s legs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udca1 <em>Tip:<\/em> When passing the guard, remember the three key principles: <strong>posture, control, and timing<\/strong>.
